Where will your final trip be?

The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

Do you know Jesus? Many have heard about him and know a little about him. Many sing songs about his birth at Christmas and Easter. Some think of him as a teacher or the leader of a world wide religious movement. But do you really know him, personally? Do you know that Jesus died and rose again because he loves you? And his death and resurrection provides a way for you to know him and live eternally?
The Bible tell us of God's love for his people. In the beginning God created us, in His image and to have a relationship with him. (Gen 1:27) We were created to be close to God, but sin entered the world. We chose to try living our own way and not that way God designed us. We were lost.
God loved us so much that he sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross, to pay our debit for the debt for our sins and in doing so making a way for us to have a relationship with him. (John 3:16) Jesus Resurrection is proof that we are accepted and made right by Jesus. We can have eternal life and the Joy of knowing our Father here on earth.
Would you like to have a relationship with God, your heavenly Father? The Bible tells us how.

1: Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23
Romans 5:12
John 1:10

2. Repent or turn away from sin.
Luke 13:5
Acts 17:30

3. Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, was buried, and arose from the dead.
John 3:16
Romans 5:8
Romans 10.9

4. Through Prayer invite Jesus into your life as your personal Savior.
Romans 10:10
Romans 10:13

Are you ready? Pray this Prayer with me:

God, I come to you and admit that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I am sorry that I have sinned and I am willingly turning away from sin. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that he arose so that I may be forgiven and come to know you. I now invite Christ to live in my heart and my life as my personal Savior. Thank you for your love. Amen.

Now what?

1. Read your Bible daily.
2 Tim. 2:15
Psalms 119:105

2. Talk to God through prayer everyday.
Matt 21:22
Philippians 4:6

3. Join a Bible based church.
Hebrews 10:25

4. Tell others about Christ.
Mark 16:15
Romans 1:16

Learning How To Pray

Although I started this blog in hopes of bringing others to Christ, I have found that it is also bringing me closer to my heavenly Father. I have been talking with him more, leaning on him for guidance, and doing a lot of PRAYING!
As I have been praying I believe he has been showing me how to pray effectively. While listening to a pod cast from Joel Osteen I learned that instead of telling God about your problems, (he already knows) you should remind him of the promises he has made (in the Bible), and not just once, but over and over and over again. JO says stay in faith and keep reminding Him every day, that the Bible says “keep not silent, give Him no rest ’til it comes to pass.” That when you put God in remembrance of His promises, this allows Him to bring them to pass, so use shameless persistence, “present your case before God, make your arguments, bring your proof.”
This stirred my spirit in such a way that I had to share it with you. God loves you and wants to bless you, you have to get in line with what he says in order to receive it!

God Bless,
Jamie
